Terms of service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms govern your use of deadyet.app and the Dead yet? mobile applications operated by Aitio Solutions Oy, Finland.
Dead yet? is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
1. Not an emergency or medical service
Dead yet? is a scheduled check-in, digital vault, and cron monitoring service. It is not an emergency response service, medical device, fall detector, or life-safety system. Delivery of email, push, SMS, and webhook messages depends on external networks, and we do not promise response or delivery times. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
2. Accounts, invitations, and acceptable use
You must be at least 16 years old to register. You may invite only watchers or managed-pulse subjects whom you know personally; invitees must accept before alerts activate. Flooding ping URLs, probing capability tokens, or using the service to send unwanted messages results in immediate termination.
3. Vault encryption and key custody
Envelopes are encrypted on your device before upload. Recipient keys live in the URL fragment you share with your recipients, and owner recovery relies on your recovery passphrase and recovery sheet. Because Aitio Solutions Oy never holds your keys, we cannot recover lost passphrases or decrypt sealed envelopes for anyone.
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
The Pulse plan is free. Paid plans (Family and Monitors Pro) are billed in advance monthly or annually inclusive of VAT where applicable. Cancelling takes one step in the billing portal or app store; your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, after which items above free limits are paused rather than deleted.
5. Continuity and shutdown policy
If Aitio Solutions Oy ever discontinues deadyet.app, we will give at least 90 days notice by email, keep export tools working throughout the notice window, and keep recipient links active until the final day. Unless you choose otherwise during the notice period, unclaimed sealed envelopes are released to their named recipients on the final day so silence after shutdown never causes loss.
6. Liability and governing law
To the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law, Aitio Solutions Oy's total liability for claims relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without limiting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
